Arizona Custom Home Building and Home Remodeling
Arlington Custom Builders specializes in Arizona custom home building and home remodeling. One of Arlington Custom Builders founding owners is Alan Anderson. He is a trusted Arizona contractor. Alan got his start in contracting during high school and college working for his father’s company — EG Anderson Construction in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In 1985, the family moved to Scottsdale and founded Arlington Construction Company, now known as Arlington Custom Builders.
“We were going to name it EG Anderson Construction again, but the registrar of contractions said there were too many Andersons. Oddly enough, today there are too many Arlingtons!” says Alan.
Alan Anderson & Brenda Southard
General Contractor and Interior Designer
Alan really began working full time for the construction company in 2001 upon his father’s retirement. Together, he and Brenda, rezoned five acres of land for a 17-house subdivision, designed the floor plans, colorized and designed the kitchens and baths, found the financing and created a marketing plan.
Brenda, an Arizona native, started her career as a fine art student at ASU, but realized she needed to make her creativity more marketable, so she went into interior design. She completed her internship at Designer Cabinetry, while specializing in kitchen design. Brenda is often called upon by her cabinet suppliers for custom designs.
In 2008, Arlington Custom Builders was recognized as one of the top remodeling contractors by Ranking AZ — the smallest company ever to have been selected for that honor. In addition, Brenda is considered one of the top kitchen and bath designers in the state.
Alan and Brenda both love the challenge of creating beautiful living spaces and have a passion for working with clients to achieve the perfect home for them. When you are looking for an Arizona contractor, call Alan and Brenda.
